The Custom Chap Process
Whether you’re local or ordering from afar, every pair of chaps follows the same thoughtful, hands-on process.
1. Choose Your Style & Submit an Inquiry
Start by selecting the chap style that fits your discipline and submit a custom inquiry with your ideas.
2. Measurements & Fit
We’ll make sure your chaps fit correctly and comfortably.
Measurements can be done in person or virtually, depending on your location.
Don’t worry, you’ll be guided through each step so you’re not guessing.
3. Leather & Customization Selection
Together, we’ll finalize every detail, including:
Leather type and color
Tooling style and patterns
Fringe, pockets, accents, and hardware
Coordination with your horse, tack, and show apparel
For virtual clients, leather samples can be mailed (small fee) to ensure the perfect color match.
We offer a variety of colors.
4. Design Approval & Build
All tooling begins with hand-drawn sketches. Before work moves forward, you’ll review and approve key elements such as:
Overall design direction
Tooling patterns
Color combinations
You’ll receive updates throughout the build so you always know where things stand.
5. Timeline & Delivery
Once approvals are complete and your deposit is received, your chaps enter the build schedule.
Final payment is collected before pickup or shipping.

The base price starts at $650. A $200 non-refundable deposit is required to begin.

Lead times vary throughout the year but are rarely longer than **8 weeks**.
