Built by Hand

Every pair of chaps starts with raw leather, your vision, and years of hands-on experience.

From there, each piece is measured, cut, shaped, assembled, and finished by hand in our Virginia shop. There are no assembly lines and no mass-produced designs. Just thoughtful craftsmanship and close attention to every detail.

The result is a pair of chaps that feels like yours because it was made to be.

✦Meet The Maker✦

My name is Jack Stewart, and I am the owner of Blue Ridge Custom Chaps. Like many leatherworkers, I began this craft out of curiosity, but I quickly discovered a deep passion for the work. After many late nights honing my skills, I decided I wanted to share my pieces and help support my growing family. From those goals, Blue Ridge Custom Chaps was born. I do this for my two boys, Christopher and Jacob, and my incredibly supportive wife, Debbie.

When I work with customers, my aim is always to build something you will wear with pride and trust to stand the test of time. The business has expanded and evolved around those core principles. We now specialize in custom chaps for ranch work, reining, pleasure riding, and open showing. Every set is handcrafted in our Virginia shop and tailored specifically to each person’s measurements, preferences, and style.
